Ocean Blue
Out on the ocean blue
That sparkles and glimmers
Like a starry night sky
That always shimmers
The whoosh, whoosh, of the wind
It carries me away
It ripples the sea
And stirs the bay
The sea creatures stir;
The crabs all hide
Deep in their shells
To block the tide
The dolphins all laugh
At their silly games
All calling the others;
All calling their names
The waves all stand
Up straight and high
Then fall down
Into the water-filled sky
The seashells all move
In the swift tide
Shimmering and glimmering
On the fun ride
The ocean still shimmers
But not for long
If pollution still happens
It will stop the ocean`s song
The crabs won`t hide
The seashells will stop
Moving swiftly in the tide
And will break and pop
The dolphins will stop
Playing their games
They will all stop calling
Each other by name
They call you to stop
Listen to this plea
Think of our ocean
And please be clean
That is amazing. I really liked it.

Kaitlin, even if you didn't write amazing poetry I would love you just because you are the sweetest girl in the world. Thanks for reminding me to take care of our Earth :)
ReplyDeleteKaitlin, your poem is awesome! Janette and I are amazed by your compassion and appreciation for all creatures. We can't wait for you to come to Texas this summer so we can all spend time at the beach. We love you!
